During October 2015 I had the pleasure to visit Poland again and in order to prepare our next group exhibition we spent one week printing, printing and printing. We barely left the darkroom and I loved it, the Sinfonia Varsovia has been our home for those days.
We’ve been working using very old techniques, which involved a lot of tries, huge negatives, chemicals, sponges, colors, metals, strong smells and amazing results.
Exhibition “International exhibition of old photographic techniques“ will take place at the Sinfonia Varsovia (Warsaw orchestra). Vernissage will be on October 29th and the exhibition will be free to visit until November 12th. You are all very welcome!
Enjoy this short video with some backstage and a few pictures:
From the runway to the sidewalk, there is so much happening in town during Paris fashion week…
Pop up showrooms take over the french capital, and it’s very entertaining to watch models, editors, bloggers, and tastemakers as they strut their stuff on the streets of Paris.
As many of you already know, I have a very talented partner in crime and together we launched www.rustandgold.com.
During this #PFW2015, we were lucky enough to bump into Terry Richardson‘s book signing in one of our favorite spots, Le Marais!
Galerie Perrotin hosted the release of his monograph published by Rizzoli New York and we had the chance to have a chat with one of the most controversial and popoular fashion photographer of the century.
We loved it and he thinks we’re awesome! (see photo below)

On 5th September 2015 I was awarded the first prize at 3rd Vistula international art & design competition, so I flew Poland to attend the awards ceremony and to discover this beautiful country!
The competition received 465 body of works coming from 32 countries and three of my photographs have been awarded. Part of the prize consisted in a 7 days photography, printing and painting workshop organized by Vistula in the Mazury lake area, 300km north from Warsav. Workshop was hosted by Roman Lipinski, Magdalena Cybulska and Lukasz Gietka.
An intensive creative week with other 3 international scholars learning about the antique gum bichromate printing processes, surrounded by colorful Polish landscape in Ogonki.
In this blog post, a few highlights of my memorable Polish experience and last but not least, a final photo from the exhibition containing our best bichromatic prints:

In late 2014 I joined a travel photography contest launched by Backyard Travel (one of Asia’s leading tour company) and I was one of their 10 lucky finalists! Unfortunately I didn’t make it to the very last step and I missed the chance of winning a tailor made trip to Asia worth 8,000$. But the day the winner to the contest was announced, Backyard Team mailed me saying I was one of their best entrants and that they wanted to send me an unexpected consolation prize.
Yesterday I received a very big package with a gorgeous photography book inside, regarding Asia, by the great Steve McCurry!
Attached some amazing stills from it.
So this is a THANK YOU blog’s post especially for them,
there are not many free to enter photography contests with such great prizes and lovely people in the organization.
Looking forward joining the contest again this year and win the Asia trip!
xx

I had a truly great time hosting a photography workshop last Saturday in San Salvo, it was my very first time there.
The food was great and the city is colorful and lovely, the hotel owners even spoiled me with a fresh baked maritozzo and asked me to sign my very first autograph, how flattering! Thank you “Da Italia” San Salvo hotel.
Last but not least I had some very inspired students and we are looking forward doing a second edition of the workshop. We went from theory to practicing and we also took some precious time to view altogether the work we had just done. Five intense hours!
Looking forward our next workshop
A massive thank you to CREAEVENTI for making all this happen!
